Janos (Johnny) Meszaros – Founder, Head Trainer
Born and raised in Anchorage, Alaska. He was drafted by the Tampa Bay Rays in 2013, deciding to forego the draft. He was picked up as a free agent in 2020 by the Astros and had a stint in the minor leagues before deciding to retire and found Uptain Athletics.
The key to his arsenal was a fastball in the mid 90s with a true FB and 18+ inches of IVB. His offspeeds included a plus changeup that covered 18+ inches of horizontal break (HB), as well as a hard slider and a sharp 12-6 type curveball.
